Every class starts with the game itself: puzzles, mini-tournaments, and plenty of "just one more game." The thinking skills come along for the ride, focus, patience, planning ahead, and handling a loss with a good attitude.

If your student's school already has a program, that's the easiest way in. Prefer one-on-one time instead? I also teach private lessons for any age and any skill level, from first moves to tournament prep.

"In a world filling with AI, chess gives children something technology cannot replace: practice thinking deeply and uniquely with their own minds."

— Ethan Neff
